  Develop website and social media, technical training for volunteers and staff,
  maintain computers and network, maintain broacasting equipment, develop plans for long term technology development, coordinate contractors.

  KZFR is a non-profit community radio station based out of Chico, California. The station has only 6 - 10 employees, but we support over 100 volunteer radio programmers. We emphasize that the station staff makes no attempt to control on-air content - by and for the community! The position of Technical Director was created when I responded to recruitment for a different position at the station.

• Teaching Assistant; Asian Healing Arts & Whole Foods Nutrition at Heartwood Institute

  Assisted faculty in preparing class materials and maintaining classroom environment. Offered direct instruction on topics of Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, Shiatsu acupressure massage, and healing movement Qigong. Responded to student practice treatment records and supervised student clinic. Assisted faculty outside of the classroom when necessary, including developing budget proposals for new equipment and coordinating among faculty.

  Heartwood Institute is a rural residential school of bodywork (massage) and natural healing arts. Students, staff, and faculty share meals in this small, close community. Emphasizing an immersive sanctuary environment, faculty guide students through intense personal transformation as they undergo physical and emotional cleansing as a result of consistent studies in Qigong, yoga and meditation, all part of developiong the quality of awareness necessary for deep transformational therapeutic work.

  Together, my wife and I ran the day-to-day operations of this beautiful yoga studio in Reno during its fledgling months. We kept the doors open seven days a week, educated clientele, and developed promotional material and strategy. We left to pursue other interests as the studio stabilized, as we were offered teaching positions at Heartwood Institute.
